Account and company deletion · Beta

What happens when my account and company are deleted?

During the single-member beta, self-service deletion covers both the user's Lysia account and the linked company workspace. Scheduling deletion makes normal account and workspace use inactive immediately, with a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion.

30-day grace period

After the owner schedules deletion, normal account and workspace use is inactive for 30 days. During that period the owner can sign in to cancel deletion and restore access.

Permanent deletion after the deadline

When the grace period expires, Lysia removes the company workspace and company-linked active data and then removes the linked Supabase Auth user account.

Business and derived data

Uploaded and manually entered business records, inventory and supplier data, analytics, forecasts, AI-related company records and other derived records tied to the workspace are removed as part of permanent deletion.

Backups and required retention

After permanent deletion from active systems, residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until the applicable backup-retention cycle removes them. Separate records that Lysia itself is legally required to retain, such as its own accounting or legal records, may be retained only for the applicable statutory or legal period and should be kept outside the ordinary customer workspace. Backups are not a customer undo or restoration mechanism.

Who can schedule or cancel deletion?

During the single-member beta, self-service account and company deletion is limited to the active company owner and is available only when the company has exactly one active member. Lysia verifies the signed-in user's workspace and owner role when deletion is scheduled and again when cancellation is requested. The owner must type the exact company name before scheduling deletion.

What happens during the 30 days?

The account remains available only for the deletion-recovery path while ordinary workspace use and business-data access are blocked. The deletion record remains available so an active owner can cancel the request. Cancelling before the deadline clears the deletion schedule and restores normal workspace access.

What happens on day 30?

Once the scheduled deadline has passed, Lysia permanently removes the company workspace from active systems and then deletes the linked authentication account. The 30-day period is the customer recovery window; protected infrastructure backups are not used as a later customer restore option.

Personal data processed for your company

Where Lysia processes personal data on behalf of a customer, the customer generally determines the purposes of that processing and Lysia processes the data under the applicable customer instructions and data-processing terms. A privacy-rights or other legally required erasure request may need to be handled separately from the ordinary 30-day self-service grace period.

What remains?

The active authentication account is deleted with the company at the end of the grace period. Narrow legal-acceptance evidence may be archived separately where reasonably necessary to demonstrate contractual acceptance; ordinary account/profile data is not kept merely for that purpose. Residual protected backup copies may persist for their applicable retention cycle. Separate records that Lysia itself must retain under accounting, tax, legal or dispute-resolution obligations may also remain for the required period, but that does not mean Lysia keeps all uploaded customer orders, purchases, names, messages or other workspace data under a general accounting-retention claim.

Accounting records versus customer workspace data

Finnish accounting-retention duties apply to the accounting entity and the relevant accounting records. Lysia may need to retain its own invoices, receipts, payment/refund evidence or similar statutory records independently of workspace deletion. Customer-uploaded purchasing, order, customer or communication data is not automatically Lysia's accounting material merely because it may be accounting material for the customer. Where the customer has its own retention duty, the customer remains responsible for keeping the required records and should export any needed data before deletion.

Account versus company data

During the current single-member beta, account deletion and company deletion are one combined action because the sole user is also the sole owner. This will change when Lysia supports multiple company members.
